Clear Damp Proofing Membrane

PermaSEAL 3 Clear damp proofing membrane is a high quality, high density polyethylene (HDPE) membrane suitable for above ground damp proofing. The low profile stud depth of just 3mm makes it extremely versatile and suitable for use as both a wall and floor membrane.

PermaSEAL 3 Clear is designed for when the wall finish in front of the damp proof membrane is timber battens, metal track system or a block wall.

This clear non-meshed Damp Proofing Membrane is available in rolls of 2m x 20m = 40m². It’s also available as a convenient kit with all that you need to get the job done.

We also stock a 3mm mesh membrane, ready to take a plaster finish.

• 1 x PermaSEAL 3 Clear Membrane 2m x 20m (40m²)
• 1 x PermaSEAL Tape (for membrane jointing)
• 2 x PermaSEAL Brick Plugs With Sealing Washers Bag of 100
• 1 x 10mm SDS Drill Bit

Uses of clear damp proofing membrane

Our Clear 3mm damp proofing membrane is suitable for use as both a wall and floor membrane. The primary use of this low profile membrane is to isolate the wall finish from a damp wall where a meshed surface for plaster or render is not required. It can accept a range of wall and floor finishes.

• Wall membrane - PermaSEAL Brick plugs accept screws which allow for the addition of battens and metal lath systems. This can then be insulated before the addition of plasterboard finish.
• Floor membrane - When used as a floor membrane, PermaSEAL 3 Clear can accommodate insulation, underfloor heating, screed and floating floors.

Note: Clear membranes should be permanently protected from UV light as this can affect the membrane making it brittle and substantially shortening its service life. This applies for storage and when installed.
