Learn more about Triton Membranes
Triton Waterproofing Membranes
Triton basement waterproofing membranes can be used for a wide variety of applications including:
- Existing basement waterproofing
- Cellar conversions
- Structural waterproofing
- Retrofit
- New Build
Unlike conventional cementitious tanking systems, Triton waterproof membranes allow water into the building and then control it to a collection point before it is removed. The Triton waterproof membranes work alongside the Triton drainage system which is installed at the base of the waterproof membrane to collect the water that penetrates into the substrate and drops down behind the waterproof membrane. Once the water is collected in the drainage system, it is diverted into a natural soak away, sewer, or a sump system to be evacuated from the building.
Triton studded waterproofing membranes are manufactured from high density polyethylene. They are impermeable, water repellent and resistant to the normal chemicals found in building construction. As well as being waterproof, the membranes are also a good barrier against contamination in the building substrate. The studs form an air gap against the underlying layer in the construction.
