Learn more about Positive Input Ventilation

PIV Systems

Positive Input Ventilation or PIV Systems work by encouraging the movement of air from inside to outside from a unit that is usually installed in a loft. These PIV units reduce or eliminate surface condensation altogether by replacing humid stagnant air with fresh filtered air.

The PIV System creates a healthy living environment by tackling both humidity and indoor air pollutants. It does this by introducing fresh filtered air into your home at a continuous rate, encouraging movement of air from inside to outside. By removing humid air and replacing it with fresh air, PIV units help reduce condensation and in turn issues with damp and mould.

They also significantly improve indoor air quality by removing indoor air pollutants such as carbon dioxide. They also keep out external pollutants such as traffic fumes and pollen. PIV systems force internal humid air that carries pollutants outside whilst also keeping the pollutants that exist outside from entering the building due to the positive pressurisation of the property.

Whole Home Positive Input Ventilation
