HydroBond Externally Applied Waterproofing Membrane and Gas Barrier
HydroBond 403 GB is a self-healing gas barrier and waterproofing membrane from Newton. It is designed to protect all below ground and earth-retained structures from water ingress (Type A) and radon, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.

This durable gas membrane is part of Newton’s HydroBond system. It should be installed in conjunction with Newton 108 HydroBond-LM that is sprayed to the exposed walls of the basement after the temporary formwork is removed.
403 HydroBond gas membrane features a locking fleece on the inner surface and an external hydrophilic polymer coating. The hydrophilic layer provides self-healing capabilities if the membrane is punctured. The membrane’s locking fleece prevents water tracking as it becomes fully encapsulated and engaged into the newly placed concrete.
Typical uses of HydroBond 403 GB
HydroBond 403 GB is designed for use as a continuous membrane in everything from domestic basements to large civil engineering projects. It can be used in the following applications:

permanent rafts or slabs - including concrete blinding, compacted type 1 hardcore, compacted sand

wall formwork / piled walls of reinforced concrete and earth-retaining structures - existing structure, secant or contiguous concrete piles, metal sheet piles, diaphragm walls, king post wall, sufficiently stable ground such as clay or chalk, temporary timber shuttering/formwork.
