Newtonite Mesh Membrane Tape [A25]
A single-sided, mesh-backed, butyl over tape from Newton, designed for use with Newton Mesh membranes. Its primary application is for joining and sealing above ground Newtonite damp proofing membranes.
Uses of Newton Mesh Membrane Tape
Newton Mesh Tape should be used for sealing over the butted joints of the Newtonite system to provide a waterproof seal. The meshed upper surface of the Newton Mesh Tape provides a ‘key’ for subsequent plasters and renders to adhere to.
Newton Mesh Tape can also be used to repair meshed membranes where surface damage may have occurred or plugs fail to find a fixing.
