Newton Liquid Membrane & Tanking Tape

Newton HydroCoat 912-RT is a reinforcement tape designed to cover cracks, joints and direction changes in liquid membranes.  

Uses of Newton Reinforcement Tape

Made from spun-bond polypropylene, these liquid membrane tapes are designed for use with Newton System 100 liquid waterproofing membranes, System 700 coatings and flexible membranes such as Newton HydroCoat 107 Elastic 2K. The tape reinforces the waterproofing layer where there are:

• changes in direction
• cracks
• static construction joints
• day joints
• covered movement joints where slight movement can be expected (case of flexible membranes)

Applying Newton Reinforcement Tapes

Newton HydroCoat 912-Reinforcement Tape is designed to be bedded into the first wet coat of the waterproofing layer. The tape must be fully embedded and the first coat allowed to fully dry before the second coat of waterproofing is applied over the top.
