Newton 803 Newtonite 10m², 12m², 20m² & 40m²
Newton 803 Newtonite is a 3mm mesh membrane specifically designed for application after the insertion of a new damp proof course (DPC). This BBA-approved mesh membrane provides a firm key and acts as an impermeable barrier on any damp or deteriorating wall surface. Permagard stock 803 Newtonite in 10, 12, 20 and 40m² rolls.
The Newtonite membrane can be installed straight after injecting a new liquid DPC. It can then be rendered or dot and dabbed immediately after completion of the membrane installation. This cuts down the time of the remedial work.
Installing a Newtonite membrane
Once the new damp proof course (DPC) has been injected, simply apply Newton 803 Newtonite to the affected walls. It can be cut to size using scissors or a sharp utility knife. You can then either dot and dab or render directly onto the Newton 803 Newtonite. The membrane provides a physical barrier between the old surface finish and the new internal finish. This prevents any future discolouration and salt deposits on the surface plaster and decoration. The 3mm profile means it can be used in space-sensitive areas.
Required for Installation
To install 10m² Newton 803 Newtonite you will require:
- 1 x Bag of Newtonite Mesh Plugs (200)
- 3 x Tube of Newton 800 Mastic
- 1 x SDS 8mm Masonry Drill bit
Note: For 40m², you will require two drill bits, as well as 12 x mastic, and 4 bags of plugs.
