Fungicidal Wash
PermaPROTECT Mould Wash Concentrate is highly effective at removing mould and mildew from internal and external surfaces. All you need to do is dilute it and apply to the affected area.
Our concentrated fungicidal wash is a surface biocide, chemically formulated to remove mould fungi, mildew and algae. It is suitable for amateur and professional use.
Note: PermaPROTECT Mould Wash is HSE-approved and conforms with COPR (Control of Pesticides Regulations). This provides peace of mind that the contained biocides are approved for use and safely incorporated into our products.
When to use
Our Mould Wash Concentrate is mainly used as a pre-wash to clean surfaces before applying PermaPROTECT Anti Mould Paint or PermaPROTECT Anti Condensation Paint. It can be applied to walls and ceilings, and is suitable for a range of surfaces. It can also be used as a general biocidal cleaner.
The mould wash is ideal for use internally and externally on:
- Masonry
- Tiles
- Wood
- Painted surfaces
Mould Wash for Walls
Mould growth on interior walls is one of the most common issues in the UK. Our concentrate acts as a fungicidal wash for interior walls, tackling this problem head-on. All you need is some careful preparation of the affected wall and to apply the diluted fungicidal wash according to instructions. Once you’ve removed the mould from the wall, you can then apply Anti Mould Paint to stop it coming back.

Using Mould Wash
Our mould wash concentrate is easy to use. Once diluted, simply apply to the problem surface with a sponge, cloth or scrubbing brush.
Preparation
- Prepare surfaces by removing non-washable and loose material e.g. flaking paint, grease, dirt, mould or wallpaper.
- Make good any surface defects and rub down to a smooth finish.
Application
- Dilute 1 part Mould Wash Concentrate with 19 parts water (whole container makes 5 litres of ready-to-use mould wash)
- Wash down the prepared area with the diluted Mould Wash Concentrate using a sponge, scrubbing brush or cloth.
- Allow to dry thoroughly. Drying time is normally between 1 - 4 hours.
- Apply a second wash in badly soiled areas and allow it to dry.
Coverage
50-60m² per container when diluted to 5 litres depending on the porosity and roughness of the surface.
