Breathable plaster primer
Limelite Easy Bond is a pre-mixed plaster primer and a key part of the Limelite range. Easy Bond enhances adhesion,providing a durable bond between various substrates and Limelite plaster. It also lowers risk of shrinkage and cracking by controlling suction on dry, porous substrates including sandstone or old brickwork.
Easy Bond is a salt- resistant plaster primer, containing a salt inhibitor to prevent surface efflorescence. It is also designed to reduce the risk of sulphate attack and staining on plasters from contaminated substrates. This makes it ideal for below ground areas and chimney breasts.

Due to its breathable nature and the fact it doesn’t seal moisture into the substrate like an impermeable SBR or latex base primer, Limelite Easy Bond is ideal for heritage restorations.
Using Easy Bond
Easy Bond is easy to use, but it’s important to follow the mixing and application instructions carefully. When it comes to plastering, timings are critical.
Mixing Easy Bond
Limelite Easy Bond can be easily mixed on-site. You will need 2.5 litres of clean, cool water for a 5kg bag Limelite Easy Bond. Mix with a paddle mixer, until the Easy Bond is fully mixed with an X consistency. Once mixed, Limelite Easy Bond has a working time of 15 minutes, so only mix the amount of primer that you can apply within that time.
Important note: temperature will have an impact on drying/setting times.
Applying Easy Bond
Limelite Easy Bond needs to be brush-applied onto the substrate around 15 minutes before applying the first coat of plaster. Easy Bond can also be applied with a spray machine when you need to cover larger areas more efficiently.

Easy Bond for Flood Systems
