Bitumen Primer

Newton HydroBond 2K-Flex Primer is a black, bitumen primer liquid. It is designed for the external waterproofing of retained structures when used in conjunction with Newton HydroBond 2K-Flex. It is highly effective at lowering porosity of concrete and masonry substrates.

This bitumen primer adheres well to concrete, masonry, plaster and other common construction substrates. It can also be used as a primer for horizontal surfaces prior to cold-applied, seamless rubber waterproofing membranes.

Applying HydroBond 2K-Flex Primer

The Newton HydroBond 2K-Flex Primer comes ready to use and is easy to apply. Start by making sure the substrate is clean, and any cracks and holes are repaired. Simply stir briefly then brush or roller the bitumen primer onto the prepared substrate. Once it has fully dried, you can apply the Newton HydroBond 2K-Flex bitumen waterproof coating as per manufacturer’s instructions.
