Foul Pumping Station
The PPS Foul water pumping station is designed to evacuate foul water including toilet waste and grey water from showers, sinks etc from basements, annexes and ground level extensions and pump it to the mains drainage system.
Note: For kitchen applications, we recommend fitting a grease trap prior to the pump station and do not recommend sinks fitted with macerator type waste disposal units are connected to foul pumping stations.
The supplied HDPE sump chamber is specifically designed to allow easy connection of three 110mm inlets via the pre-formed connectors on the sides of the chamber.
The Foul Pumping Station is supplied with a pedestrian lid and all internal pipework pre-glued for ease of installation on site.
The PPS Foul Pumping Station is supplied with a powerful D10SA foul vortex pump. The pump is capable of pumping to a head of 5.5m @ 4 litres per second. The D10SA foul pump is ideal for pumping both vertically up from a basement or horizontally at ground level where gravity flow is not available.

Installing a PPS Foul Pumping Station
The chamber is sited on a concrete base, inlets in the form of 110mm pipework are connected into the chamber, a 50mm discharge pipe connects to the gravity drain and a 50mm cable duct to bring electrics from the chamber into a dry environment. The chamber is vented via a 50mm duct to the same standard as a traditional SVP. An air admittance or ‘durgo’ type valve should not be used.
The chamber is filled with water to prevent buoyancy and is surrounded with concrete. A simple rule of thumb is that the top of the chamber should be level with the structural slab or no deeper than 500mm from the final finishes.
The installation is completed with a double sealed cover supplied by the contractor to tie in with the general floor finish.
Remember this product needs to be accessed for service so care should be taken with the location.
