A solvent free "thick" High Build Epoxy Floor Coating for use in areas requiring a heavy duty coating. Achieves a finish that is tough, resilient, and corrosion and abrasion resistant .
High Build Epoxy Flooring
Permagard High Build Epoxy Floor Coating is a two-pack, solvent-free epoxy resin coating. It is designed as a heavy duty coating at a thickness from 200 to 500 microns. The coloured high gloss finish is extremely hard wearing and has good general chemical resistance.
Permagard HB Epoxy Floor Coating has a low-odour during application and provides a sealed, continuous and hygienic floor surface when cured. This epoxy floor coating is easily applied and provides a tough, resilient, corrosion and abrasion-resistant finish. Anti-slip finishes can be achieved by the inclusion of aggregates.
The high build version of Permagard Epoxy Resin Floor Coating has a higher solid content level than our standard Epoxy Resin Floor Coating. When applied to a surface, this provides a dry coat thickness of nearly four times the thickness of the standard product. This provides a more substantial coating on the surface, creating a tough, resilient, corrosion and abrasion resistant finish.
Application Areas
Our High Build Coating is ideal for use in the food industry such as dairies, breweries and bakeries where solvent-based products are prohibited. The hard-wearing, chemical / oil resistant properties also make Permagard High Build Epoxy ideal for:
- Garages
- Workshops
- Warehouses
- Automotive workshops
- Supermarkets ( back of house areas )
- General industrial usage
Installing Epoxy Floor Coatings
Preparing the floor correctly is essential to the success of this high build epoxy coating. This product should not be used on surfaces contaminated with oils, greases and other chemical surface contaminants. If your surface has surface contaminants like the ones mentioned, please reach out to our technical team.
As with all coloured epoxy floor coatings, two coats are advised for the best coverage and colour results. Always use the correct primer if required. Allow at least 12 hours to dry between coats. No more than 48 hours.
It is essential to remove any laitance by mechanical means (common on new concrete floors/screeds). Please speak with one of our technical team if unsure. This product is not suitable for external application and is not UV light stable so th epoxy can yellow over longer or intense periods of sunlight.
